Part 1/4. When rain interrupted the tenniis on Wmbledon's Centre Courrt on 3 July 1996, Sir Cliff Richard stepped in to entertain the crowd with an impromptu 20 minute sing-along concert of six songs. Cliff was unaware this was going out on live television as he sang 'Summer Holiday', 'The Young Ones' and 'Bachelor Boy'. It was a unique spontaneous event at Wmbledon, and is unlikely to ever happen again. The 'concert' continues in part 2. Can anyone identify all the tenniis players (from left to right) in Cliff's backing group? part 2 - concert http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ePlXePW... part 3 - interview/ media reports http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EJwpvUM... part 4 - interview/ media reports http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb0ITo9...

He performed unrehearsed to a potential disinterested arena crowd and blew them away. I don`t think the X Factor contestants (nor the judges) have the audacity or the talent to even do this in the bath.
The media should thank Sir Cliff for giving them something worth airing during the rain-out. We'd have otherwise been subjected to their stilted commentaries instead of fun entertainment. The ungrateful toads! Sir Richard is totally bloody marvelous.

Very embarrassing.
