im not familiar with DS9, but hes right. i imagine that once we go in space, wars and conflicts will be purely ideological. its not like there isn't enough room or resources out there. heck, world war 2 was a pure ideological war. so will any space war. these guys won't like those guys, those guys won't like the other guys, the other guys won't like these guys and they start jumping at each others necks. animals fight for resources, but we have all the resources we need, so...
