I have to wonder how she breaks it all down so she can swallow it - having no teeth. Does she a a bristle-like tongue?

They can claw fruit into a mush or little bits to eat but she mainly goes after the fruit flies nesting in the apples as these are locally grown so subject to bugs. The tongue is sticky with saliva.
