hiya, the yellow thing is the sling, a small cloth patch that holds onto the missile, jellybean etc.

What do the two holes near the counterweight do? Make it more aerodynamic?

@xXHANIFXx1 It was just an attempt to lighten the weight of the swing arm. The less weight in the swing arm, the further it might throw. (It didn't make much difference.)

@White92Knight you can google trebuchet calculators to get the dimensions, or use pythagoras theorem, start with a ratio of 3 to 1 on your throwing arm....have fun

@nincompooptoys you should have made hole on the side of the projectile. the counterweight part must be as heavy as possible
