  • Dr. G, I am 30 and have acne-prone skin with uneven surface, colors and acne scars. I have used Clenziderm (normal to dry) and Nuderm Clear for two months and Im satisfied with the results! But here comes the question: what is my next routine- should I just continue using those products, or if my skin gets better I should proceed to products? If yes, what would you recommend? And also I'd like my skin to be whitened and brighter...Thanks! P.S. I'm thinking to get pregnant. =) -Kiki

I am glad to hear you are responding to your current Obagi regimen. I would continue the current products if it's working. You will have to discontinue using their use in the event you get pregnant. You may want to consider Fraxel for improving the acne scarring and discoloration before or after you get pregnant.

  • will the blender work alone or must i use tretinoin with it, as i got the starter kit but tretinoin is not included, i am trying to bleach out pigmentation of burns

  • crazaychik2:

The blender is made to be mixed with the Tretinoin. If you are not using the Tretinoin then I would not bother with the blender, however the system works best when used in entirety.

Using the Obagi line with Renova will be less irritating. Remember the Blender only works with Retin-A (tretinoin). So if you use Renova then you will not need to mix it with the Blender.

  • Dr Gerrish, I have large melasma spots on my arms and back. I tried using retin A 0.05% but it was too irritating despite my face loved it. Should i tried Obagi with renova? What are your input on retinoids for body parts?

    thanks

  • MzSarahlicous:

With the Obagi Nuderm program most patients do experience some initial stimulation in the form of redness and peeling. The amount of reaction is dependent on the strength of Retin-A being used. It is not uncommon for patients starting out on Retin-A 0.025% to have very little or no reaction. You will notice more stimulation if the Retin-A percentafge is increased.
