There's nothing wrong with showing kids religions. The problem is when it is screened to give a false impression of the religion, in the hopes of converting the kids. Children should be made aware of the homophobia, sexual discrimination, racism and irrational violence contained in nearly all religions, and it should factor into their choice. An intelligent child with all the facts will usually choose Atheism.

Because Bush and the neo-cons did not factor in how much Islam is a total mindset, an absolutely totalitarian faith. There is no separation of mosque and state, and that mindset is ingrained into the culture. There are a few enlightened Iraqis, but they make up a tiny minority.
