@zebracherub wrong the gun was origninally called the MP44 but for a boost in moral and to instill fear in the enemy it was called the sturmgewehr 44 or stormrifle

@zebracherub they put "mp" in it because the gun was meant to be a secret so they disguised it as a submachine gun "mp" is an abbreviation for the german word for submachine gun. The real name is STG 44, stg stands for some german word that means storm rifle.
