also, you say its absurd to partition the small GB isles? you think size plays any part in any of this? your country is your people, i have nothing against england or english but its not my country, nor they my countrymen. Scotland is my history, home and heart and i would love to one day see it as an independent nation. surely theres nothing you'd like more for your country than to see it stand on its own 2 feet?

a fair interview by newsnight standards. i do hear quite some doubt in Brewer's mind, must have been a surprise when Scotland chose Salmond hands down. Mnby5rh2 - i couldn't help see what you said here, i have to say unionists make me laugh when they go on about their 'country'. Scotland is a country, Wales is a country, England is a country and Northern Ireland is a country.. in union. tribal disputes? my nation is not in mere tribal 'infighting', it is a NATION of people looking for a change.

the way i see the uk no the british empire is a family like a sitcom think scotland mother england father wales the loveable little boy northern ireland the good twin ireland bad twin currently a rebellious teenager who has flown the coop canada good lad although takes much influence from the u.s the first to leave the family got very violent when his mother and father forced him to pay rent to stay in the home australia once the favourite child although has gained independance
