  • dark eyes is a Russian song, it is neither gypsy nor Jazz..

    you can check the wikipedia

  • @andrewchou3g you may be right, but it is still a major part of the gypsy jazz repertoire, cheers!

  • @andrewchou3g I did go to Wikipedia and found that in the Gypsy Jazz repertoire Dark Eyes IS a standard.

  • La mejor version de Ojos Negros que hemos escuchado y visto. Felicitaciones al trio y en especial al joven Maestro del violin.Saludos desde Uruguay.(Walter, acordeonista y Adriana, estudiante de violin).

  • @walteracordeon muchas gracias!

  • this is an old Russian song... not Gypsy jazz :/

  • @mrdnato this is in fact an old Russian song, but has become a Gypsy Jazz Standard piece and is played by all the Gypsy Jazz musicians.

  • More talent in their shoes than the Jonas Brothers' persona and existence -- that's enough for me.

    Wonderfully executed performance!

  • Bravo !!!

  • @TheBachands It`s true this is a Russian song and it was also a signature song of Django Rheinhardt, who was a jazz muscian famous in the 1940`s and 50`she was also a gypsyany way it`s a beatiful , well played song.

  • Love the violin kid

  • Good job boys, keep on improving!Saludos

  • It's Hawaiian, duh

  • OK, Guys, I've been listening to this song since I was very young and while it's true that its origin is RUSSIAN, it is GYPSY as well. There are Russian Gypsies. Gypsies exist all over the World and it's no exception in Russia.

The real name of this famous tune is: ACHICHORNIA, and by the way, if I may digress just a bit, FLAMENCO, is the Spanish Gypsy Music, which I love as well, since I'm a Musician/Singer/Songwriter, and I compose lots of Jazz in my stylings, I love all types of Music.

  • You guys rock! This made my day. Keep up the good work =D

Saying something doesn't qualify as 'jazz' is pointless semantics, because no one can pinpoint what jazz 'is' It's merely a feeling.

  • @andrewchou3g

Gypsy Jazz is a style ...... any song can be played in any style.

  • 7 people don't have any talent like this
