SDP suspects Mexican drug cartels behind attacks
Several congressional candidates of Mexico's Social Democratic Party, all supporters of drug legalization, have been targeted in recent attacks, and the party chairman suspect drug cartels. Though PSD deputy chairman Luciano Pascoe said that the party had no direct evidence the cartels were responsible, he said the attacks "are directed against the party, against the proposals, and this speaks of a political profile". Diaz also stated in the press conference that unlike the federal government, it appears the drug traffickers do understand that the regulation of that market would take the business away from them and would be a more intelligent way to combat them. And he's right. Even the drug cartels are smart enough to realize what our politicians seem incapable of figuring out: the only way to loosen the stranglehold of the cartels is to deny them their blood money by ending drug prohibition.
Kenya implicates Evangelical clergymen in Sex scandal
In one case an Evangelical clergy and a self proclaimed prophet is facing accusation of producing pornographic material and engaging in immoral behaviors with Kenyan girls in different occasions at Nairobi hotels. The second case is even more sickening a priest who has been taking care of unfortunate boys is taking advantage of their plight. The catholic priest known as Fr Kizito Sesane has been accused of sodomising young boys under his care. This man has been in Kenya for over 20 years purportedly carrying out charity work but whatever he is facing right now violates his good course, these allegations came to the fore last year around October but found their way off the public eye until a week ago when the bold boys aired their grievances which were also supported by still and video pictures of the alleged lewd acts. Sex scandals involving the clergy have been on the rise in the country.
Saad Al Hariri new Lebanese PM
Lebanese President Michel Sulaiman appointed Saad Al Hariri as the new prime minister of Lebanon. Saad Al Hariri is the son of the late Prime Minister Rafeeq Al Hariri, and one of the leaders of the US-backed -March 14 alliance, which is the coalition that won the majority of seats in the latest Lebanese elections. It was reported that Hariri, now in power, has met with Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hizbullah, to discuss the outcome of the election and the possible shape of the new government. Will this be a serious start of a national Lebanese unity, which Nasrallah has been calling for? Or is it just another step into the Lebanese crossroad, from which different parties eventually take different ways.
