Rollag Minnesota 600HP SNOW Gas Engine

In use from 1915 to 1970 in the oil fields of Northwest Pennsylvania as a natural gas pipeline compressor. 140 tons total weight, 67 feet long, speed 80 to 90 r.p.m., flywheel 27 tons and 18 feet diameter, crankshaft 12 tons and 16" diameter, bore 24", stroke 48", 39,600 cubic inches displacement! Two clinders in line with combustion on both sides of both pistons. Announcer: Bob Remington, Operator: Jim Keats.

The Buckley old engine show acquired a 1911 1100hp model snow engine from in West Virginia and had the ground breaking on August 21,2010 in Buckley,Mi at their show. they hope to have it running in 2013 so come and see it.

That thing is awesome! I work on natural gas engines and compressors and have never seen something like that,how much suction and discharge pressure did that run at? what was it capable of?
