On a recent stop on the All-Stars Tour, Kellin Quinn (vocals) and Jesse Lawson (guitar) of SLEEPING WITH SIRENS took time out to speak with BareBonesMusic.com. Evil G. discussed with the guys their new album, LET'S CHEER TO THIS" (Rise Records), reaction from fans, working on their first tour to support the record, how the songs are more representative of what the band wants to be and the progression from the last record, " With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear." The guys also reveal some of their favorite tracks from the record and which one's are making it into their current live set, the addition of new guitarist Justin Hills and some interesting road stories. Kellin thanks the fans, talks about his beatbox skills, fills us in on the bands road plans and what they look forward to on their first trip to Europe. PLUS live performance footage!

  • Why is that "heavier sounding music" is considered immature? and when a band "matures" they become "softer" I hate it when bands say "Oh we wanted to mature our sound cuz weve grown as a band, so we dont play breakdowns or scream anymore"

  • ugh im gunna miss their old style. i miss kellins scream

  • i wish jesus in the southern sky was on itunes :(

  • Jesse wanted to say "that's what she said" so bad...

  • @jhski182 he still screams, they've never really been known to scream alot though

  • @LeBainJames I agree with half of what you said. What i dont agree with is that all heavy music sounds the same. Yes some bands overuse breakdowns and they do tend to sound monotonous, but this band had an edge that was not boring sounding and was not all chug chug. Heavy music isnt just breakdowns and screaming fyi. Memphis May Fire and Woe is Me are great examples of bands that still sound heavy and dont sound like any other band.

  • @xbdo777x Because breakdowns are so easy to write. It's ridiculous. Heavy stuff all sounds pretty much the same. That's just how it goes.

  • @xbdo777x Its maturing because like Slipknot said theyre not just a bunch of angry kids anymore they've realized that they want to do something different with their music and realize that their is more to music than what they have been doing. Thats basically what i think they're trying to say

  • @kellinquinn no matter what, you guys are amazing, and the people who don't realize it, aren't true fans. Those who support you will be there, and love whatever you guys decide to put out. I for one, love the new album. You guys have a great sound, no matter what you're doing. Sleeping With Sirens really can do anything! :)

  • i fuken love kellin >.<

  • i love him
