@penti77 I thought the screams were a tad much several months ago but now I prefer them. But I've not been convinced into liking them. I'm of the opinion if you need to explain in order for an audience to get it, it is inherently flawed. I fought against the very thing the screams are meant to do--make a strong impression. Didn't like temporarily being pulled out of the scene, or so I thought. It jarred and disturbed, made grief too huge to believe. But it really was THAT big. *screams* lol.
@lowlifehighdesertr Nope. The Shubert. The one that has since been torn down and office buildings built in its place!!! That was my favorite theatre in Los Angeles. Aside from plenty of leg room and great sightlines, the stage was so low, from the first few rows of the orchestra section I was able to see the stage floors of Sunset Blvd., Les Miserables, Rent, Ragtime, Cats, Tommy, Chicago--all shows I saw there. What a great place to see a musical. Miss it.
@penti77 Oh. Thanks. Yeah, initially it seemed people wanted to say that I just don't know anything about theatre and that's why I didn't like the screaming. In fact, I grew up in theatre. The first production I ever saw of "Evita" had my dance teacher's daughter, Shoshana Bean, as one of the children of Argentina. Today, Shoshana is known for her starring role in Wicked on Broadway.
I never meant to imply your comments had no validity. Intrigued by your wiki contributions- that is wonderful! I deduced that you had EVITA interests, by your avatar name. I myself am a huge fan of the Evita show and Hal Prince in particular, See me on facebook : Harold Prince and His Adoring Fans. Damien.
@penti77 -- Thanks. I wrote the Wikipedia article about Eva Peron, and I have a background in the performing arts. Go to this link to see me performing at age 18: youtube.com/watch?v=0_Dwa2dJl1Y I'm experienced with both topics, Eva Peron's history AND theatre. My opinion cannot be attributed to lack of experience. Thanks, though. :)
@LeMisere OT--How on earth did I manage to post that using my old account???? *Twilight Zone theme*
Ahhh, proof that YouTube and Google track their users. *blood curdling scream*
