Maung Tha Chue is one of the greatest song ever, written and Sung by Khun Thar Doon. This song is commemorate to the Pa-Oh hero who fought and died during the revolution against the oppressive Shan Soa Bwar. The song was written and sung by Khun Thar Doon about 40s years ago, and it is still in the heart of every Pa-Oh people. Khun Thar Doon was born in 1940 in a village south of Taunggyi and attended a missionary school in Kalaw, where he learned to play the guitar. He attended veterinarian school at Insein, a northern suburb of Rangoon. He became the most popular Pa-Oh singer-songwriter in southern Shan State and supported the nationalist Pa-Oh cause. His father was killed by a politician rival in 1956, and Khun Thar Doon himself was killed by the Communist Pa-Oh at his home in His Hseng (Thaton Lay) in 1978. The death of Khun Thar Doon is a great lost of the Pa-Oh people, and its greatest musician and artist. Khun Thar Doon is a Pa-Oh legend singer, song-writer and he is also a vet.
