@kissdomcso1 I WOULD HAVE TO KNOW MODEL NUMBER ON CPU AND MOBO TYPE BUT ON SOME OF THE LATER MODEL OF CELERONS FOR THE SOCKET 775 PLATFORMS I`VE EASILY OC THEM TO 5GHZ ON AIR YOU CAN GOOGLE TO SEE OTHER HAVE AS WELL AS A SINGLE CORE SOLUTION SOME OF THE LATER MODEL CELERONS WHERE ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS OC

Hi, I have in my pc (Vrey noob computer) 1 GB RAM memory, and 2.40 GHz Intel celeron. I want to overclock my processor to 2.80 or 3.0 GHz. How to do it? Can anybody help me? Thanks..

omg, clocked my E5200 to 3 GHz and ended up resetting the bios because computer wouldnt boot at all anymore.

e5200 is a nice little chip. My Super Pi times are faster with 3.4 Ghz and 4 GB cheap Kingston DDR2 667 running at 900 and a cheap Biostar G31 mobo. That's as high as I can get to boot with this mobo and ram.
Dude.. you do know that the max voltage for this chip is 1.362v.... and you are ABOVE 1.4. Sure your CPU will work for a while, but you are bound to fry it soon enough!

Yes... I know I have taken this to 4.2 Ghz with 1.525V. Of course I dont run it at 4Ghz+ 24/7. I run it at about 3.6Ghz with 1.344V, runs nice and cool.

whats your tempratures?
I also have the e5200 and I think I'm going to purchase the OCZ vendetta 2 and overclock my processor some =) atleast to 3.1-3.2 ghz or something =)

The cooler im using is the ocz vendetta 1, which is not as good as the vendetta 2. I get about 42-45C idle (depending on how long its been on) and 65-70C load. At a very heavy load after an hour or so i might hit 71-73C. But this is ORTHOS... so under normal use my temps seldom go above even 60C...

what voltage you got. on the 24.7 couldntt see it. and the 3.9 with that kind of voltage woutldnt it burn the chip out?
Intelpentium54321 3 years ago
1.344V 24/7, it will definetly not burn out since the temperatures are under control, but the voltage can do damage to the chip over a longer period of time... I have run this chip at 1.52V for short periods and still works fine.
