@renumeratedfrog Actually, the head doesn't explode in vacuum. It's worse for Your lungs. You should not have ANY air in them when stepping out in space without a helmet, or at least block Your nose and mouth completely. And don't open Your eyes!

I wish more movies would take their cues from this one. "Life functions terminated" with absolutely no music, gore or anything else is far more chilling than anything hollywood could dream up today.
