I saw this car run at the Spring Nationals in the early 70's in Columbus OH. It broke, yet it got best engineered car (they towed it down the track). I bought a model of it that summer. Grumpy's toy won the event with a win over a hemi cuda/challenger (I think it was Dick Landy). That Vega came out of the hole like it was shot out of a cannon, and the big ole hemi pulled him back but came up just a little short. It was so close nobody knew who won till the winner's light came on.
