Inside Howard's Magic Appearance!

Sorry to report this but there was no backstage drama with Magic's staff that I'm aware of. They were all very polite and very excited about Howard being there, the whole place was "buzzing".
After our performance with Howard, Robin and I sat backstage and watched Howard on the video monitor. Robin was then asked if she would go on stage and do the next segment with Howard and Magic.
I struck up a conversation with the engineers backstage, who were both very experienced in the wonderful world of television show business and both unanimously agreed that television history was being made before their very eyes.
Another cool tidbit was that the filming of the new Star Trek movie on a set next door brought a lot of the cast backstage for a glimpse of Howard and Crew. A few of them asked for photos with Howard and Robin. It was really great being approached by them with compliments on the performance.
There were no warnings on what can and can't be done except for camera blocking and to watch out for the wall when they lift it or lower it. We had a rehearsal prior to the taping of the show. We were reserving our "hot air" for the taping and I think Howard was a little nervous because we weren't blasting them out at rehearsal. We were also a little nervous.
After the show, the after party was at the Key Club. I traveled there with Jackie, Gary and one of the Producers. I noticed Drew Carey was at the party, along with several of the "Wicked" porn stars. Magic's show was piped in via satellite, so we were watching it in L.A. as it was being broadcast in New York. The show looped over and over on three large screen televisions.
I personally felt that Magic looked a little sad at the end of the show. I'm sure it wasn't obvious to most folks, it just appeared that way to me. As nice a person I feel that Magic is, I must agree with Howard's point of view on his show.
