This is a redo of the piece I posted a month ago at http://soupgreens.com/2009/09/25/horace-westons-celebrated-polka/ . I wanted to approach it from a different angle. The other version uses fingerpicking on a parlor classical and has exaggerated dynamics and tempo shifts. This version is flatpicking on a steel string acoustic and keeps the dynamics and tempo even.

  • I think that this song is baffling people. Is it a weak Strauss ripoff? Pretentious Doc Watson? Why would anybody want to mix romantic-era pop with vintage americana?
