  • By the way - I checked out your Channel - nice licks!

    I also play - got a 5 string Vintage Active V950A.

  • Cheers Giff. Only took up playing 2years ago and don't get the time to practice very often but its a nice way to lose yourself for a while. I've sent you a web-link where you can download an MP3 of the entire concert,

    Paul

  • Hi thanks for the great comment. I have the whole concert in reasonable quality mp3. I'll upload some more shortly. I can burn to CD? Cheers Paul

  • This is a good song to get drunk too. I LOVE EVVVVVRYBODY!

  • I saw this live on BBC2 when it was broadcast back in '83. I had never seen or heard anyone play slap bass before this. I watched it in total disbelief! When they did the intro to Love Games I sh*t myself!! I saw them live a year later, but by then they had sold out and gone all commercial - no instrumentals! boo!!!!

  • scaz, the quality of this is superb. i recorded this whole gig on cassette tape off the radio when it was first broadcast. i no longer have it as the tape became too worn after many, many playings. thanks for posting it. any chance of getting the web-link so i can grab the mp3 of the gig?

  • Man, that would like an early Xmas present for me!

If you could upload the rest that would be really great and most appreciated!

    Giff

  • Been searching for this for years now and this is the closest I've got!

  • Scaz, just wanted to say a BIG thank-you for posting this track.

I remember recording this (on cassette - subsequently played to erasure levels) And watching it on TV - my Dad allowed me to move the radio speakers to each side of the TV and watch what was probably the London Borough of Greenwich's first stereo TV broadcast!

Anyway, I had tears in my eyes when I heard this and the hairs on my neck stood up - no BS Mate!

Anyway, if you've got more then PLEASE post - it would be appreciated!
