Jesus, this is horrible! I`ve been attacked late at night too (yet on the street). Still, this had happened almost 15 years ago and I`m still picturing every single minute! Being attacked at home must be suicidal cannon fodder...

NO ONE should know where you keep weapons. Best case, no one should know you own a firearm. Dogs are an essential early warning system. It is amazing a guy this rich didn't have an alarm system of some sort. I bet spade was nasty to the guy and they did drugs together. Some people keep their use under control, while others use more and more until they're out of control.

@aliciaanne Added to this, David weighs next to nothing. It's a miracle he survived. Adrenaline works wonders though and Farley must have been with him. He must be the best Guardian Angel.

This must haunt David, especially when the attacker is a close friend. I was shocked that this happened back in 1998. He talks about it like it happened 5 minutes ago. Poor David.
