I love Saddlebreds, however I dont like the practice of shaving the mane and tail of a horse in the three gaited division; its my personal opinion that they are more beautiful with a full mane and tail. I also dont like the practice of cutting the extensor tendons of their tails as I think they look just as beautiful with a natural tail.

Show ring saddlebreds are happy. how is shaving a mane any different or worse than pulling their mane out?? some saddlebreds rack and slow gait naturally without any help and every horse is three gaited naturally so whats the big deal??

I love this horse. Iam so happy to see a saddlebred doing dressage! Iam so happy that he isnt in some show ring with a shaved mane and broken tail doing three gaited saddlebred classes or slowgaiting and racking looking so artificial Harry you are one lucky saddlebred!

That horse looks happy and relaxed...not as tense as the ordinary american saddlebred style.
