  • When I first went RAW in Nov 2008...I ate so much food. Tons of Raw Food...I was so hungry. Now I need less food. Somedays I am hungrier than others but I do not eat nearly as much food as when I started on Raw. I believe it was because my body was craving processed foods MSG HFC and all that junk...that it was no longer getting so my body told me to EAT MORE. It was hoping it would get some eventually...it never did. That's my two cents.

  • That's a lot of valid points. I think consistency is key as well. Being in tune and listening to your body is incredibly important too. People easily get lost and confused with so many opposing opinions of so many experts, that they forget that the most important signals they should be listening to are the ones from within. It's amazing that so much valid information is available out there, but since we are all constructed differently, we'll all react differently to various diet approaches.

  • @RawOasis that's a strange theory...

  • Very nicely said. Your passion about this topic shined through.

  • Also when we have been in a lifetime of overeating junk food there is confusion inside of us. So while I understand the expert's idea that no cacao is the ideal and we should get off caffeine totally I am really with Matt about cacao being a good segue food. For some of us change doesn't happen overnight -- maybe even in this lifetime. "Progress, not perfection" as they say in support groups....

  • i like this guy he is reasonable

we cant expect a person to completely purge their diet

my diet will never be completely raw

but their are a lot of things i can do to prevent it from becoming very unhealthy

  • But we need nutrients. So, how is food bad for us? We'll die with out it. Ok, gonna keep watching now. :)

  • Matt - you are spot on. It's seeing the bigger picture. Even replacing some foods with raw foods, for an obese person, is positive progress. I think some experienced raw foodists don't take into account that their own evolved food practices took time to acquire and refine. And adopted everything from cold is just not practical.

  • have fun at the festival

  • Yeahhh bra smoke weed

  • Thanks, Matt-I agree. The better I eat, the less I need or crave. I feel so much more energetic. I wish everyone would try eating raw!

  • I think there are much politer ways of getting your point across. This is not something I wish to spend anymore energy on if you are going to act like that. I wish you the best of luck and hope you will take the responsibility to educate yourself on the topics you would like to learn more about. God bless.
