Fred Goldstein, author "Low-Wage Capitalism" and leader of Workers World Party, explains how the collapse of the USSR affected politics in the U.S. and greatly hurt U.S. workers. He explains this in the context of the current debate about Obama's healthcare reform bill.

  • ericejk- Really? When did this "secret holocaust" happen? Where are the bodies buried? Why isn't it documented with any kind of reliable, peer-reviewed scholarship? The only holocaust that happened on Soviet soil was the 20+ million people that Hitler killed in Operation Barbarossa.

And here we go with that same, tired old "bread line" story you right wing dumb fucks seem to love so much. What good are consumer goods if nobody can afford to buy them?

  • I am getting sick of supposed "class struggle" talk coming from communists and socialists. It is funny how this guy loves the Soviet Union so much and forgets that they killed more of their own people in peace time than Hitler and that in the Soviet union people had to spend large amounts of time every day waiting in lines just to get basic supplies.

  • They been doin this since 1800. The USSR never did much for me, neither did the corporate fatcats either
