Rgr that. I did notice you said "like the Red Baron". My post was really made for others who might watch the vid. Heh, wasn't being a wise guy. Also, the only reason I knew was because I have the E-Flite 54" ARF Albatros that Raben flew on order. When I saw the markings I researched it because I'm a history buff. It's marked just like your Tripe but with the Greek cross instead of the Maltese. Can't wait to get it. Late spring, sigh. BTW who makes this Tripe? Thanks and happy flying.

Nice video and a great looking Dr1. Nice flying, too. But just for history's sake, that aircraft would have been from Jasta 18. It bears the squadron colors and the personal markings of August Raben, it's last commanding officer, not Richtofen.
From the owner:
I bought this used, at least 3rd hand.
I think it may be built from plans from Arizona Models but the fuse is about 4" longer than their specs. W/S is the same. It has a few degrees negative incidence in the top wing so it will not pitch up under WOT.

Right you are! I Think generally most people who don't know, think of a red tri plane as the "Red Baron". This is why I was very general in the description "LIKE the Red Baron". Not Richtofen.
