Well , u put finger on what I was trying to say all along! If u read history from other nations retrospective Danish medieval aggression, as a Danish humanitarian u would not find much to be proud of!
This goes 4 the guy proud of 3000 years history too! Ask Georgi's, Armenians, Arabs, Indians,Kurds and so on to c how they feel. u c my point!

The shiro-khorshid flag has been part of the persian culture and quite frrankly it is an representative of the 3000 years of rich culture and history, this beautiful symbol gives pride and meaning to us iranians & it doesnt represent any particular party it is simply an old persian symbol with history behind it how it came about.
P.S i think u ppl need to read the history behind this flag then u can comment on it.

Well as long as u don't think of others less, u hold them as equals, we agree but we use different ways of conveying our beliefs.
Sar ko tu bit bãvãnem!

@SayiDSE (part 3)
In the "positive" sense, i don't see any problem with the lion/sun-symbol. But how much people are just appreciate old persian culture OR are really using the symbol for pro-monarchy is hard to say. For me at least.
I have hard time believing all this ppl, with this flag chanting "Democracy for Iran", really have a hidden agenda of bringing back the Pahlavi-dynasty.

@SayiDSE (part 2)
I have never been nationalistic in any way and have still a problem "defining" myself in that respect.
Living in Denmark i think it is fantastic that danes can be proud of there history and wear old viking symbols but still have the deepest respect and interest for other cultures.
Negative nationalism is when Persians begin to feel hate to Greece because of a Hollywood movie like "300" or when a country has a serious law against "insulting turkishness".
Well I'm against monarchy in Iran, but can't still not see any problem with the Shir Khorsheed flag.
This has been the symbol for the persian empire for many many years! Having said that, i think that most (not all) ppl using this flag today are pro-monarchy.
