On January 18, members of the ASPCA Field Investigations and Response Team rescued more than three dozen cats from a tiny apartment in Brooklyn, NY. The owner initially only had two cats, but soon became overwhelmed by their out-of-control breeding.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE kitties and cats. I'm a cat person all the way (but I love all animals, of course). I'm so glad these 37 muffins were rescued. What's with these animal hoarders? I know it's a sickness, but my god, they're really endangering these creatures with their compulsion. These muffins and their squeals are just too cute beyond words. I want to squeeze and kiss every one of these buttercups. Baby precious muffiny furballs!

  • True...surprisingly, the place didn't look too dirty....YET. It's still abominable that anyone would keep that many animals, of any kind, in their home. Shameful.

This comment does not take away from the fact that these muffins are scrumptious, furball cutie-pies!

  • Spay and neuter every one of your animals.

  • How can anyone like this? How sick can a person be to continue to breed cats when there are so many in shelters?

  • @Jammerys ??? I KNOW THAT BUT SOOOOMMMMEEEEE ARE USED IN HARFUL WAYS PLUS IF THEY GET TOOOO MUCH SPAY AND NUTER THEM

  • The cats and kittens weren't abused.

The breeding went out of control which was something the owner couldnt handle.

The cats were looked after well and were healthy.

  • thats a lot of cats i feel sorry for abused animals and animals used for breeding :(

  • You left out that the woman was permitted to keep two of her original cats, as reported on the TV. It seems the ASPCA was less cruel than some of your comments. And if you read the comments carefully, the commentors could easily end of with a roomful of kitties, too.

  • Yes, I agree, the fuzzybuttz look yummy!

  • If you were allergic as a child, be sure you still are, cause some people grow out of it. Still others find they can tolerate some breeds better than others. While there aren't really any hypo-allergic breeds, some swear Bengals or other purebreeds are better for those with allergies. Also, remember there are new medicines available today, as well as better air filters that might make having a cat a possibility for you! I wish you well!

  • At least this person's place didn't look real dirty like some of the hoarders, and the kitties looked pretty healthy too, considering . . .
