"Each new version is a different shape"? What kind of crap is that? Look, I'm all about limiting consumerism but this video is really missing the mark with this one. If you need to upgrade your system and there isn't a faster processor that's compatible with your motherboard then you upgrade that too. The visualization that just because your jigsaw-puzzle-shaped processor (anybody ever see one of those?) doesn't fit means you need to chuck the whole system (including monitor) is a load of crap.

The only idiot is the narrator. You can buy a PC case that will last 10 years (I have), Hard drives, disk drives, graphics cards that will last 5+ years (technology does advance you know). So the only thing you change is the motherboard, memory, and CPU every 3 years or so.

These people are like cultist. The only way to avoid most of this stuff is to live in a tee-pee, wearing a loin cloth (made from hemp becuase libs dont hunt, but boy can they smoke dope).

Well I may be a cultist but I don't smoke dope and don't live in a tee-pee(although I'm impressed by people that can survive in a tee-pee). The easy thing in life is to consume without thinking. Things become much more difficult when one begins to LEARN and THINK! Congratulations on learning how to install a mainboard...you are one small step in the right direction. Peace to you
