@thelion2430 Ones ability to conduct oneself respectfully in debate is directly proportional the the amount of respect one gives ones self. For that you have my pity and sympathy. It is unfortunate that so much dialogue in today's society resorts to personal attacks instead of reasoned and factual debate. The motto of the weak mind seems to be attack when one disagrees with you instead of responding to the issues raised. Maybe one day, when you are all grown up, you will recognize this.

@russttu no i insult and i make a point too...so shut up

@thelion2430 Just like a liberal to immediately resort to personal insults. If you even bothered to watch the video and read my response, you would see I was clearly speaking to the portion on computing. Nothing in your derogatory rant indicates you understand either the nature of computing or the speed of technology movement in general. Your steady state or zero growth mentality is all well and good for a luddite, but in the real world, technology requires new infrastructure and products.

@Naturyl So they just dump it? Can't just recyle some of the parts? I don't know a lot about computers so I am simply trying to clarify somethings.
-
Moore´s Law :P owns all hard
-
That part about computers was amazingly wrong.

@opticsnake No, I swear. One's shaped like a square, one's a triangle - I saw one shaped like an "L". It's a total mess.

Hey, anyone here, throwing a computer way, PLEASE, PLEASE don't. For God sake don't. I know children in Africa, families in Brazil, people who if they have something you're throwing away, it can change their life. So, if you're in UK and throwing some computer away that works, then drop me a pm. We just helped build a Radio station in Africa and helping others in Congo to do same.

Technology changes and people want faster computers. Not everyone is satisfied with a 486 with a 15k modem and a 1 gig hard drive. You also completely gloss over the fact that new software needs faster hardware. Try telling a graphics designer that they have to work on a 10 inch green screen using dos running on a computer no faster than your average calculator. Enviros are such lying fools.
