Kim Manners Video Tribute LAX FILES

The 2nd promotional video for LAX-Files: The fan made book dedicated to the memory or the late and great director, Kim Manners. The book also features filming locations for Fight the Future and Seasons 6-9.

The book will be available for purchase on Amazon.com in January 2010.

This video celebrates the work on Kim Manners on the X-Files.

His episodes were classic! I was in college at the time War of the Coprophages aired. I had the lights off , I was totally freaked out but laughing hysterically throughout when all the sudden a cockroach skittered across the screen. I yelped, grabbed my shoe, and threw it at the tv. Then... Then I realize it was filmed. People down the hall heard me yell, "DAMN YOU KIM MANNERS!!!!!" and came running. Oh my god, what a great memory! Never met him but totally love him! He is missed by many!!

hey Starlog, the video was almost done when we heard that the interview with DD was about to take place in the next couple of dyas so we put it on stand by but later the author of the book contacted me that she had nothing from DD about Kim at that point. so it as not ingratitude is just that time wise, bc we had a dead line to respect, was not possble. we had no choice that to move with the video foward.

I removed my comment, because i was not in direct contact with the author, but what I wrote was what I was told and I have e-mails to prove that. I would never invent such a thing, nor I think anybody would. We were waiting for his interview and both very disappointed that his quote was missing on the video, now I am really happy that she got to interview him again and that at least he will be in the book! I know she is putting a lot of effort on it. i am sorry for any misunderstanding.

Starlog, I know the book's author really well and she told me that David (and a few others) were interviewed AFTER the promotional video was near completion., if not already done to meet the deadline given to the vidders. David and Kim were good friends and he speaks very highly of him in the book, which comes out in January. You can read about David's kind words there.
