Question---what do you recommend if you are married to an 'emotionally unavailable' woman? We have been married 6 1/2 years and I am the more 'emotional' one of us.
plus realizing that yes, you are married to each other..you are now a family. your not married to mom and dad, your spouses siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins etc. your spouse come first and foremost.each partner has to give and take..its not fair when 1 spouse is forced to do all the giving, the other do all the taking. and realize that yes, you both will have interests that the other doesnt like. let them enjoy their interests and you enjoy yours.
being married 27 yrs, i can give tips...each person is different, cant expect each to change to suit each other, problems will come along gotta work together not against, the biggest relationship busters are money issues, friends and family...KEEP friends and family OUT of your marriage, pick your battles, not everything is worth getting into a big knockdown drag out. earplugs are a godsend. romance, intimacy is important, spending time with each other doing things both enjoy.
