Here is video of the Alabama Gulf Coast on 15 May 2010 in Orange Beach, AL. BP's (British Petroleum) Deepwater Horizon oil leak began 20 April 2010. The video was shot in front of the Broadmoor Condominiums on Perdido Key approximately .5 miles west of the AL-FL border. At this time, the water is fine, beaches are white, no oil or tar balls, people swimming in the Gulf, no oil smell. Booms are not visible, although they are supposedly out there. According to community conversation, the oyster beds in Bon Secour, AL (a little north in Mobile Bay) are scheduled to close today (Sat., 15 May 2010). After this weekend, oysters and shell fish will have to be imported and market prices are expected to quickly triple.
