In the hall of the mountain king by Edvard Grieg from the peer gynt suite, done in a classitronic (electronic classical) style inspired by Isao Tomita.

The music "In the hall of the mountian king" was created first then the clips of the 2007 CGI film Beowulf (featuring the virtual versions of Angelina Jolie & Ray Winston) were edited around the music which seems to work well though you will be the judge of that.

Created using Omnisphere, Virtual string machine, Jupiter 8V, CS-80V. It was arranged and mixed in cubase 4

  • Cool video, I'm only surprised at unnecessary crotch close-up at 0:33, and at 0:43 that they wore modern shape high heels at that times. Music interpretation is wonderful, more dynamic and dramatic than Tomita style.

  • OMG, Angelina Jolly is the most gorgeos female dragon in the world!!(joke).

i forget that how good Isao Tomita is.this is the best cover of Grieg's music!

  • Wonderful post !

  • nice music and good choice of a film. dynamic especially at the end

  • Quite well done. I'm still getting to hearing all these. They are all fantastic.

  • in german: In der Halle des Bergkönigs

i like this song since i´m a child, very interesting to hear that interpretation.

  • Wow, this is such an enterprising venture, recreating these classical pieces electronically. Amazing!! I hardly dare criticise this awesome work, but.. and just a thought here.. in this particular piece of music I would love to hear a strong focus on drums/percussion. Bravo!!! 5 Stars!!!

  • This is a refreshingly brilliant adaptation of a classic. Spacey. Bravo!
