that flying pass at 1:19 is awesome! beautiful lighting and sea effects. i especially like f-14 when its wings are folded back for high-speed flight, eventhough it was good in its time, but now it would a flying piece of junk even if it comes back, i think!

Most of the bombing sorties in Afghanistan were done by F-14Ds. The F-18(inset alphabet) is noting more than a jack of all trades bomb truck, you are 100% correct. What should be launching off the carrier today is a brand new F-14 "E", the equivalent of the AF's F-15E. Now, consider this, The USN will have two aircraft, the F-18E/F/G/H/I/J/K. . .and F-35C, they perform the same exact mission. What is the point? What should be on the decks today are F-14Es and F-35Cs.
