@lumpyfish1 i like your disign and i made it. something different i did was put the rubber band to hold the second stage lower on the balloon booster (about 4 inches from the bottom) and hooked up the rubberband ballong setup there. It allows the booster balloons to give thrust for a longer period of thime then it send of the top stage. and i used ballons that deflated faster. It went fast and it looked like the boosters fell of like the space shutles.

@pfolvig Sure thing! So start by inflating 3 rocket balloons and holding their nozzles closed with chip clips. The take a rubber band and place it over a SINGLE first-stage balloon. Roll it about 1/4 of the way down from the tip of the balloon. Then place the nozzle of your second-stage balloon in between the rubber band and the single first stage balloon, so that the band holds the second-stage nozzle closed. Next, place your other first-stage balloon beside the first, so that they

@pfolvig sandwich the second. Now, place a larger rubber band over all three, so that they are bound together. You may have to fidget with the balloons to keep them on either side of the second stage. Now, all you have to do is take the chip clips off and let both first-stage rockets go at the same time. When the first-stage balloons have deflated, they will fall out of the large rubber band. The specific first-stage bloon will also fall out of its smaller band, and release the second stage!
