@XCERT4 you are so wrong.

@inneswarbeck1 Damn, I just checked out his tour and he's not coming to Adelaide. Oh well enjoy him in Melbourne, lucky you.

Looking forward to seeing Hugh in a couple of months or so in Melbourne. I saw Stranglers back in about '80 in Carlisle , Uk, and they did storm of after some sort of argument. They remain the best band of the punk/new wave era for me and a large part of that is down to Hugh, obviously. Here's hoping he will play a full set . even if the the audience get a bit lairy.

Cornwell might not be the Stranglers, but the Stranglers are certainly not the Stranglers without him. Strangely the Wonderbra ad does not seem out of context to me.

hugh is a knob? No, hugh is a top bloke and a great artisit. to reduce such a greatr man to one word is ridiculous

The Stranglers without Hugh Cornwell isn't the same thing as Hugh Cornwell without the Stranglers. Is it?

yeah hugh is FANTASTIC not plastic like his wonderbra adds... the guy lost it years ago when he actully thought he was the stranglers.... an well ? he was just another singer really his words nobody else:s... hugh is a knob ..... big baz is worthy... i dont like sell out merchants..... hugh dontcomebackinblackyafanny:)

Yeah that's why I think the Stranglers were the real deal and if a label was to be attributed to them I would call them P P Punk. But labels restrict unfortunately. Let's look at there originally philosophy the Stranglers had learn 3 chords and start a band they never got the credit for that statement but it is in Strangled well before Sniffin Glue.
