yes they bark.... as do all dogs, if you don't have the time to spend with them and you live in suburbs - dont get one!! There are far too many dumped because people don't do the research first. If they aren't trained right from the start then you will have issues. Establish dominance over them and they will look to you for guidence and know their place in the family "pack"
We had one and it was the most loyal dog. (we lived on 500 acre farm) when the pizza delivery guy drove in he winded down the window just enough to slip the pizzas through. We ended up putting it down when a girl rode past on her bike and she got bit. The vet came to put her down and he shot him in the head and he was still alive. (he only had one bullet!!!!) So dad went and got the shovel and hit it on the head a few of times, still alive. So he ended up drowning it in the dam. terrible death.
@SHINeeUKISSluvZEA Mine has a natural instinct to bark but I trained it out of it by letting it come inside with me and also covering it's snout with one hand and making a shushing sign with the other. They work out pretty quick that the noise isn't wanted and mine now just makes a low wining noise. I do agree but that you shouldn't get one if you don't have the time and patience to put into them, if you do have the time then they are FANTASTIC dogs and are extremely loyal and always happy.
@ccoins102 All dogs are different. I hate people that think one breed of dog is the same. Every dog is different . No the breed wont bark non stop if left outside. Training is what it needs
This breed is good in the house with people or surrounded by 300 acres where no one can hear them. If they are left outside they will bark non stop at nothing most of the time. Not a good neighborhood dog at all. Think twice before committing to this imported breed.
