LIfe Span is the title of Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro's exhibition and contribution to Once Removed, a curated group show that is part of the Australia Council's activities at the 53rd Venice Biennale. If all the vhs tapes that make up Life Span (there are 175,000 glued together) were played from beginning to end it would take more than 60 years to watch them - the equivilent of the average male life span in 1976, the year vhs was invented.
Contrasted by its location at The Ludoteca, a deconsecrated 16th century convent, Life Span was a powerful introduction to Once Removed. Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro take us on a short tour of their exhibition.
