475,000 sq ft of exhibition space, over 30,000 qualified visitors from more than 110 countries, press conferences discussing the future of robotics and technical sessions about everything robotic - heady and topical.
I visited Munich and the show to see what was new, what was being featured, what people were talking about, and where the crowds went. I broke my camera (but there was a shopping center nearby with a camera store), wore out my back, drank a lot of alcohol-free beer (very tasty and lo-cal), and barely made it through all the halls.
I attended press conferences, receptions, awards banquets and technical sessions in addition to talking with exhibitors. AUTOMATICA 2010 was a trade show for vision systems, integrators, software providers, robot manufacturers and directed-research facilities and ancillary business that support those companies. Very business oriented.
