E3 09: Silent Hill Wii Demo

dude, what's scarier? Being able to defend yourself, or being defenseless? They were trying to make this game scarier, by making you defenseless against the monsters.

Wow Im really surprised by this. When I read the title I was like "Oh great another shitty american silent hill" but Im really impressed. I dont really like the 'ice' world. Silent Hill will always be red to me, but Im really glad this isn't a fan game where you see red pyramid for no reason.

Just got a wii for Christmas and this game looks pretty cool... I might wanna buy it

not at all. RE was good in the original game, different scare, but now the series is to different. I dont want a bunch of guns :/ i like have a weapon in general (preferably a knife) so if im surrounded by creatures from all directions i cant get out. and whats the threat or scare from a monster that doesnt really hurt you, only tackles you. nurses are scary, any moment they can slice you open but if your fast enough you can get them back or injure them enough to run away and survive.

Cmon people. lets think outside the box instead of running and gunning. go play call of duty if thats your thing :]

OMG! Don't you even fight theses things? All you have to do is shake them off?

I look forward to playing it, I am not very combat oriented like must so i would rather think my way out of things then shoot um up bang bang...

this looks terrible. i LIKE being able to defend my self from monsters. ya know, the satisfaction of cutting off the head of a nurse or smashing monsters with the steel pipe. its just another "oh, lets use motion controls :D that makes every game better! if we do that we wont even have to use a weapons system, oh the money we could save!" SH is SUPPOSED to be scary, DARK, and so on. in the words of the angryvideogamenerd "What were they thinking?!?"

oh, and ice?! wtf? the rusty, dead, decaying world was the best aspect of the series! rawrrrr, this is pissing me off
>:( SH homecoming was an IMPROVMENT sure the wimpy people who have issues swinging a pipe (heather, henry, so on...) made the game scary, it was cool, but when you could quickly attack was great :) but now you cant attack at all? wtf?
