is that evangline the actress from one life to live, i think her name is rene elise, she played the original cili's sister on the broadway color purple. It definitely sounds like her.

although i adore heather's OBC version, i realized that this version is a whole step higher and this aida (whom i think is lillias white from the below comment) belts that high D like a PRO!! that's why i love singing this version. i guess they lowered it to give the character more depth, or maybe the actress needed a lower key.......lol. either way, BEAUTIFUL NUMBER!
