my mother had the album with many of his songs great music i was 10 or 12 all my respect to all who serve honorabley tanks a.o. from chicago

@pollywogA1 its not sure if he shot himself...there are as far as i know different theories, its not sure if he tried to shoot himself, got assassinated or was hit in an accident or crime.

Had a good Army buddy that almost talked me into trying out for the Special Forces back in 1962. I passed as I didn't have the guts to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. He did it and successfully became a Green Beret. He has my utmost admiration!! Hope your still with us Gary!

Thank you for your comment. I have admiration for anyone who has the guts to go in to the armed forces. I have had a few friends that have joined and some of them have been over in Iraq. Sorry it took so long for me to reply.
