  • Cise Star is one of the best rappers to ever grace the mike. I didn't understand these lyrics until i went through some tough moments in life recently. All of my thoughts and emotions in one song with a beat composed by the late great Nujabes.

Trying to rest, instead i rest my head

On a pillow of hardships, misery is the bed

On my back i lie, i can see through the skies

Through a glass ceiling the reason tears drowning my eyes.

This part spoke to me the most.

  • getting universal love is less important than giving love to the universe. no music was meant for or can reach everybody, why dwell on who hasn't heard this. what matters is recognizing goodness when you hear it.

Cise Starr + Nujabes = golden!

  • First time I pictured this song fully understanding everything I... Man, nothing but respect.

  • @blaekman yeah i think i know what you mean all i know is that i cant stand that wood noise that nujabes put in, otherwise its great song.

  • @Mysterymenduo yeah and the constant piano? i think the noise in the background really wierd sounds like it doesnt fit

  • @blaekman is it cuz of that offbeat wood beat later in the song?

  • the lyrics are fucking sick this is prob one of the best songs cise ever wrote but this is the 1st beat by nujabess that i actually didnt like

  • love it when he quotes illmatic nas

  • this is masterpiece rest in peace nujabes..

  • lovely

  • I also discovered quite a few classic jazz songs that have a little part of them in Nujabes' music.

Real music will never die, its energy, and energy cannot be destroyed or made out of nothing, energy can only transform from one form to another... :D
