@22shanrocks yes, grid or gay related immuno deficiency is a horrible disease akin to the black death of the middle ages. viral scientists have theoretically traced it back to a region of africa in which the local africans hunt and ate monkeys and the theory is that the virus mutated into what we now call aids. unfortunately it is NOT proven but the effects on the human body are horrific and there is still no cure.

@22shanrocks Gia contracted AIDS or GRID as it was originally known probably from an infected needle due to illicit drug us or unprotected sex with somebody else who was infected. the result is that the immune system of the body is attacked by the virus and you begin to "waste" away getting very thin and skin lesions develop and fill with blood, puss and fluids and if lying on a bed eventually will burst and bleed. it is similar to the plague but much more slower.

@22shanrocks I think it was coming from her lady parts, either that or it was her flesh which had melted from her body (as her mother said at the end) I'm not 100% sure though.
