  • @EmmetEarwax that is a myth people have been saying for ages, the dog is just sitting on a tabletop!

  • 0:30 - the coffin holding the dog's DEAD master ! Victor was claiming that the dog would be convinced by the fidelity of the recording the man cut while alive, that his master was still alive.

  • Fantastic machines!

French manufactured Pathephones are some of the nicest gramophones ever made. Cabinet work is often of exquisite quality & design, and they were ahead of their time for sound quality.

I was very pleased to see the Phrynis disc machine too. I once saw some advertising for one but have never seen or heard the real thing before. Their cylinder products appear more often. I was quite surprised by it's sound quality, although I'm guessing it would be harsh on records. Thanks

  • I own 200 + disc records of VOCALION they were made by: THE BRUNSWICK-BALKE- COLLENDER COMPANY. The musician's are american, cuban, mexican and jazz master's.

  • Beautyfull machines ! Congratulation the good condition!
