This tribute video was created for the local Emeritus Society's Annual Film Lecture Series. Previous to the screening of Ealing Studio's '51 release "Lavender Hill Mob," this 21 minute selection of scenes from Sir Alec's career was shown. The films in this tribute are, Guinness' first role in David Lean's "Great Expectations" through to his '79 "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" role of George Smiley. This is a great little compilation of roles by a master actor and allows the viewer to see Alec Guinness grow and change through his career.

  • I love Alec Guinness. He is extraordinary and I could watch his films over and over.
