  • The 1967 promo for ABC looks like it was designed by Syd Barrett (intended as a compliment).

  • Played well with people on acid trips (around 60% of the population in the 60s)

  • Psychedelic baby!!

  • @E30m3EvoVIIIMR @1993Kittens Don't use excuses, the brainwash excuse was made so people could blame TV, movies, video games and cult leaders for violence, and drug use. BE FREE THINKING, BREAK AWAY FROM EXCUSES!

  • even the music was better for the TV promos then.

  • @pkappel006 You too! Thanx.

  • @bullfrog1954 your a good person partner...I enjoy your writing. We will take it from their and move forward, have a good weekend

  • @pkappel006 I recently turned 57 and I know what you mean! In the 60s my Dad would actually send ME ( a KID!) to buy him a carton of cigarettes! He would give me $5 to go to the drugstore next door. I would pay $2.59 (now a PACK is way more than that!) and, if I was lucky, Dad would let me keep the change (big bucks for me at the time)! Looking back I'm surprised the store clerk served me! For Dad it was Camels-unfiltered! Never got the habit myself but I went on to enjoy a good brew!

  • @bullfrog1954 1966/1967......Batman was my favorite TV show during that time frame. I am 58 now, born 6.6.52 but still young at heart and really miss TV shows & TV Ad's. I remember when my Mother would by a carton of Salem's for about $4.00. Now a carton is what $75.00. I used to smoke but let that habit go back in 1997 cold turkey but I still miss a good bump/beer and a smoke.......................

  • @pkappel006 As someone who also grew up in the 60s, I fully agree! And TV just seemed better back then!
