That's another reason.
-
because of MRL is better.
-
Maybe that's one reason why 175 and 200 FPM hydraulics are becoming rare.
-
FACT: Hydros do not travel over 150 FPM and if they do they require safeties.
-
I wonder why this is called Series 5, but it's like the bug used on 3rd party controllers that make the lantern bell sound multiple times when going down.
-
It is a bug in the digital controller that Otis has yet to fix, as all new Otis elevators with these fixtures (Unitec calls them Series 5) have this bug.
-
I don't know why, but they should have gone with Gen2 for both the office building and parking garage, with a speed of 150-200 FPM. Additionally, the garage elevators would be nicer looking if they had glass windows.
-
why isn't it a gen2?
i like series 2 and series 5 fxitures but there is no exvuse i dont think to program a five floor hydraulic to go 100 FPM 150 would be more reasonable

Yes, I too like all Otis fixtures, old and new, but I think 200 FPM would also be good for 5 floors.
