2.06 kg - 12⅜"diameter - 5¾" depth. This bowl has a great number of voices and gong/bell notes available. It is very finely crafted, with a full rounded shape and a special reinforced lip which is folded over for an inch or so.

  • Excellent! I'm not sure this one really "resonates" with me, but I would really enjoy seeing more mid- to xl-sized bowls.

  • Yes I know what you mean. I will have a look for you and see what I can come up with...

  • You are so kind to share your expertise on these Singing Bowls with the YouTube audience.

So be kind to yourself as well, this day indeed.

  • Hey, oneness, thanks for the kind words. I like to think of my singing bowsl sounding loud enough to be heard in New York. Tony

  • Thank-you for your question; it is a good one. Yes this is definitely not the 'normal' look for a typical hand-hammered Himalayan singing bowl.

But I am sure they are authentic, and traditional - just confined to a fairly small village area. I have seen this shape used as cooking pots.

This one has not been used in a fire, but it may be that this shape is meant to invoke the shape of a cooking pot - in the sense of an offering bowl, maybe to offer food at a ceremony.
