FYI - Those "HD" lenses you mention are more commonly known as "free-form" and it is a machining method that can open up that field of vision for you. For example, reading a monitor for me requires head rotation with progressives, but less with free-form progressives. Trouble is finding them.

Buy your Transitions on Zinni.com and pay $140.00

The progressive lenses I got from Costco were very different and inferior to those I got from the optical shop at my doctor's office in NorCal. The Costco lenses have much smaller areas to see through in each of the three strips/lines across the lens - one for far, one for middle and one for reading.
The reading areas are tiny spots. My previous lenses had much larger areas. I would not recommend Costco progressives unless you really can't afford the more expensive ones. Inferior, but cheap.

All progressive lenses have those marks, that helps measure if they were put in the correct spot and tells your reading power.

how much you paid for yours
I live in Portland, Oregon, and I call shenanigans that there was bright sunlight in May.

@Calikokatpiano2 Yeah they are still expensive but they are far less than their nearest competitor. We got off easy for so long before we needed bifocals, huh... :)
