Fruit cocktail, or shredded carrots... even chopped cabbage... or try cherry jello with a can of Dr. Pepper instead of the last two cups of water with maraschino cherries and walnuts - yum!

my grandmother makes it every thanksgiving using walnuts celery chopped fine and pineapple and what ever else she could find

My family has been making this since I was little and I've had it many different ways. My Mom made this version for Thanksgiving this year. Christmas she usually makes red jello with strawberries and bananas. And I've had orange jello with mandarin oranges and bananas. I love it all!
